Introduction：

Shanghai EDOS Aviation Technology Co., Ltd. was established in August 2019 with a registered capital of 20 million yuan. The company focuses on the design, research and develop, manufacturing, maintenance, and repair aviation engines for large unmanned aerial vehicles. 17 patents are related to the technology of piston aviation engines that have been approved, including 2 invention patents, 11 utility model patents, and 4 design patents.

The R&D center is led by Dr. Xu, who was a post doctor from University of Tokyo in Japan and got the only “special talent” title in Baoshan District of Shanghai in 2022. Dr. Xu has been the only foreign expert member of the Computer Simulation Technology Committee of the Japan Association of Automotive Engineers for 10 years. He has published more than 20 academic papers on engine optimization design in academic journals such as the United States and the Japan Society of Automotive Engineers, and has obtained a number of patents.


The company has R&D centers that are located in Shanghai and Tokyo. The Sino Japanese R&D team was led by Dr. Xu that has core technology for large-scale drone engines, filling the gap in domestic large-scale drone engine technology and solving the "bottleneck" technical problem in China, replacing the monopoly position of American and Austrian enterprises in domestic large-scale drone engines. Chen Jie, Secretary of the Baoshan District Committee, has visited the company several times and has been listed as a key project in Baoshan District. The company's products and research and development team have also been reported on Oriental TV and News Comprehensive Channel.



The main customers of the our company are large unmanned aerial vehicles, including unmanned helicopters, unmanned rotorcraft, unmanned fixed wing aircraft, and eVTOL (electric VTOL autopilot aircraft) and other aviation aircraft manufacturing companies.


Shanghai EDOS plans to create and manufacture three series of aviation engines in five years, namely EDOS-1300, EDOS-2700, and EDOS-500 aviation engines. The EDOS-1300 aviation engine, fueled with 95 # gasoline, is easy to promote in the civilian market. The maximum power is 123.6kW/8500rpm (168 horsepower), self weight of this engine reaches to 88Kg (including built-in reducer and clutch), and an attack to weight ratio of 1.41. The technical performance indicators have reached world-class levels. As a power source for unmanned aerial vehicles, it can completely replace imported ROTAX914 and Lycoming360 aviation engines. Moreover, the company will also take the EDOS-1300 engine as the basic model, develop and manufacture the aviation Range extender EDOS-100E, and plan to put the "EDOS-100E aviation Range extender" into market within the next three years, in order to provide long-term power solutions for eVTOL.
