Ampaire was founded in 2016 in Los Angeles. The company’s vision is to decarbonize aviation with hybrid electric propulsion technology. We will be the first-to-market with novel propulsion to unlock Regional Advanced Mobility.

Equipped with the self-development hybrid powertrain, Ampaire successfully maiden flew the world's most advanced six-seat hybrid aircraft----the Ampaire EEL in May 2019. To date, the EEL has accumulated26,200 kilometers flights with 100% dispatch reliability and has received 11 experimental airworthiness certificates from the FAA and abroad.

On November 18, 2022, Ampaire achieved a significant milestone by successfully conducting the maiden flight of the Eco Caravan, a nine-seat hybrid aircraft powered by the AMP-570 system. The AMP-570 system boasts a maximum output power of 570 kW, supports sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and can effectively reduce fuel consumption by 40%, providing substantial economic benefits. Eco Caravan is currently the world’s most advanced hybrid electric aircraft, with a payload capacity of 1.3 tons and a range of 1280 kilometers. It is expected to get FAA STC certification by 2024.
